UPwithART 2020 Results!

UPwithART 2020 Results!

Thanks to you, UPwithART 2.0 raised $146K that will go directly towards Unity Project’s housing stability program and Museum London’s children’s programming! We are (almost) speechless at the fact that even during this difficult time, we ended up only $2K shy of last year’s grand total. This is beyond our dreamiest expectations, and we are all so thankful that you chose to be a part of UPwithART despite the pandemic and our “change in venue”. At first, we were unsure of how our online fundraiser (as we understand, the first large online fundraiser in London since the quarantine took effect) would be received, and as the days progressed, we were overwhelmed by such a strong showing of community support.

This year would not have been possible without the support of our sponsors and community partners, especially our Diamond Sponsor –  Van Simpson Portfolio Management. Please take a moment to look at these organizations that unflinchingly supported us from the starting block to the finish line.

This was also UPwithART’s 10th anniversary and even after a decade, we are committed to improving and adapting our fundraiser. Help us out by taking this short three-minute survey about your experience to make next year’s fundraiser even better.

Lastly, we want to thank you not only for your financial support, but also for the goodwill you’ve put back into the community, your trust in both of our organizations, and your willingness to make London better for future generations and marginalized communities. Stay safe and we hope to see you next year!

Reimagined UPwithART 2.0 Announcement: 24-30 May

Reimagined UPwithART 2.0 Announcement: 24-30 May

Unity Project for Relief of Homelessness and Museum London are pleased to announce that our annual UPwithART fundraiser will be taking place virtually this year from Sunday, May 24 to Saturday, May 30 2020 as a free event.

We have been hard at work transforming London’s favourite art-y party and silent auction into a format which everyone can safely enjoy. Please join us for an online art auction featuring 65 awesome works of art, an Art & Activism panel discussion, speeches from our Directors, Money Now!, and a very timely print multiple.

Registration will open on Friday, May 8. Register before midnight on Tuesday, May 26 for your chance to win our Registration Prize, the painting Misty Harbour by William “St. Thomas” Smith (gift from Museum London, valued at $750).

This truly is a moment when the community and the organizations that serve them are looking for a strong showing of support. Please help us get through these difficult times so we can prepare for better times on the other side of this pandemic. We look forward to “seeing” you at the first ever virtual UPwithART 2.0. More details to follow!

Please visit www.upwithart.ca for more information and follow Unity Project’s social media channels to receive UPdates as they happen!

UPwithART 2020 – Postponed

UPwithART 2020 – Postponed

Dear friends of Unity Project and Museum London: COVID-19 threatens not only our health but also how we will serve our communities. As a result, UPwithART 2020 will be postponed.

This seriously affects the much-needed fundraising that is essential to both organizations at a time when we have already been financially affected.

We are currently assessing the situation and have some ideas about how we might conduct the event at a later date, in order to ensure the health and well-being of our communities and achieve the goals of the event as best we can.

We appreciate your understanding in this matter and hope we can count on your support going forward.

Sincerely,
Chuck Lazenby, Executive Director of Unity Project
Brian Meehan, Executive Director of Museum London
