The Unity Project (UP) is committed to providing an opportunity for volunteers to grow personally and enhance their skills. Volunteers share talents and knowledge that advance our programs and services to make the Unity Project experience valuable for residents and program participants
The UP’s volunteer program provides individuals with an opportunity to meaningfully participate in the following ways:
- Frontline Service
assisting staff with daily shelter routines and participant support
- Student Placements
gaining frontline support service experience through placement opportunities as part of a certificate or degree program
- Special Projects
lending your special skills to a program or assisting with specific events
- Community Volunteers
serve on committees and advisory boards, get involved in planning and implementing various projects
Unity Project is most grateful for the support of the Ontario Trillium Foundation and the significant grant it provided to build the capacity of Unity Project’s Volunteer Program and enhance programming in support of men, women and youth experiencing, escaping and avoiding homelessness.
More than 14,000 hours are contributed by Unity Project volunteers in a year! We applaud the hundreds of volunteers who support our cause giving their time, talent and compassion for relief of homelessness in London.
