What a night!! Over 600 braved a bitterly cold and snowy night, and were rewarded with stellar storytelling, sensational singing and a smashing symphony for the 6th annual dramatic reading of Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol.
The event grossed over $51,000 in sponsorships and donations at the door, netting $30,00 for Unity Project, to help make Christmas special for those without home and family of their own and supporting our cause the other 364 days too!
We all benefitted from the egalitarian inclusivity of the show. It was a great honour to be part of such diverse community and to experience its joy. Such inclusivity was accomplished thanks to wide-ranging accessibility measures including pay-what-you-can admission, large print and Braille programs, song lyrics on screen, ASL interpreters on stage, free shuttle service, targeted invitation and promotions and having trained volunteer support on site to assist. And of course the Emoti-Chair!
The CBC deemed the Emoti-Chair’s collaboration with our concert to be one of the year’s Top Five Classical Music Innovations… next to Google Glasses! You were all a big part of that.
Many, Many thanks to all and please give it up for our Cast, our Crew and our Sponsors.
